Noncommutative Polynomial Relations

Terminology: We’ll say that two polynomials p, q are congruent, and write p ≡ q, if their equality is a consequence of our given relation. To be consistent, we also write the given relation as f ≡ 0. We must explain the consequences of f ≡ 0 specifically. They are that if u, v are any polynomials, then the product ufv is congruent to zero, as is a finite sum of such products. That is all. For i...

Some results in noncommutative ring theory

In this paper we survey some results on the structure of noncommutative rings. We focus particularly on nil rings, Jacobson radical rings and rings with finite Gelfand–Kirillov dimension. Mathematics Subject Classification (2000). 16-02, 16-06, 16N40, 16N20, 16N60, 16D60, 16P90.

Some Determinantal Expressions and Recurrence Relations of the Bernoulli Polynomials

In the paper, the authors recall some known determinantal expressions in terms of the Hessenberg determinants for the Bernoulli numbers and polynomials, find alternative determinantal expressions in terms of the Hessenberg determinants for the Bernoulli numbers and polynomials, and present several new recurrence relations for the Bernoulli numbers and polynomials.

Noncommutative polynomial maps

Polynomial maps attached to polynomials of an Ore extension are naturally defined. In this setting we show the importance of pseudo-linear transformations and give some applications. In particular, factorizations of polynomials in an Ore extension over a finite field Fq[t; θ], where θ is the Frobenius automorphism, are translated into factorizations in the usual polynomial ring Fq[x].

A note on power values of generalized derivation in prime ring and noncommutative Banach algebras

Let $R$ be a prime ring with extended centroid $C$, $H$ a generalized derivation of $R$ and $ngeq 1$ a fixed integer. In this paper we study the situations: (1) If $(H(xy))^n =(H(x))^n(H(y))^n$ for all $x,yin R$; (2) obtain some related result in case $R$ is a noncommutative Banach algebra and $H$ is continuous or spectrally bounded.
